L0050 14-inch "Perfect" Fir Tree

Lot 0050: About as close to perfect as I've ever been on a "Douglas" fir tree. I don't think I can get much better than this. This one is 14 inches. Unusual here to have invested this much energy in to a 14-incher, normally that's saved for the taller trees, but I think it was worth it here. Lathe-born, hand-shapen Port Orford Cedar trunk, green foliage reinforced and with highlights, dead-needle effect, and "almost pine cones" on the undersides of the branches. Dead branches galore with some of the best materials I've had for them, these very tough roots gathered from the beach, washed and oven-dried. Placement is critical with the pine pitch/beeswax system, followed by yellow glue and matte medium securing every one of them. Add some moss and lichen detail (our own PO cedar dyed materials and lichen colored paint) and of course the root system. Now, that's an up-front tree, I do believe. Have at it! :) -Rog
