Recently upgraded. These 6 inch background fir trees are made of sisal fiber with dyed bamboo trunks. I add a highlighting and a light "dead needle" effect (I call it "bug spray") on the edges. Articulate yet durable, they can be trimmed with scissors and/or moderately shaped to modify the appearance.
